Commitment to Community Our community programs are our lifeblood. CKP is devoted to providing literary arts programming to people in communities where they live and work. Authors join CKP in offering at least 3 free outreach events annually. Furthering this cooperative spirit, they volunteer their support for fundraising, committee service, reading manuscripts, and more. Presenting Poetry & Prose makes a part of the fabric of people’s daily lives through free poetry readings, discussions and workshops. For more information go to PP&P. Giftbooks brings free copies of CavanKerry titles where they are most needed: community centers, public schools, prisons, and more. For more information, go to Giftbooks. Partnering with us in LaurelBooks: The Literature of Illness is the Arnold P. Gold Foundation for the Advancement of Humanism in Medicine (www.humanism-in-medicine.org). Together we bring LaurelBooks and their authors to medical communities across the country. For more information on LaurelBooks go to LaurelBooks.
